After spending eight years as a software engineer at Apple, I returned to academia to do research at the intersection of software engineering, programming languages, and human-computer interaction. I’m excited to be teaching this course on software engineering this quarter!

I am a first-year graduate student focusing on Artificial Intelligence and Systems. Previously, I worked as a software engineer at Samsung and SAP for 5 years. I am very excited to be a part of the teaching assistant team for this course, and I look forward to working and learning together!
Gagan Gopalaiahhe/him
I am a second-year graduate student focusing on the Systems track. I’m broadly interested in scalable distributed systems. Before UCSD, I spent 3 years in the industry as a Software Engineer at Cisco. Excited to be a part of the teaching assistant team for this course!
Hao Luohe/him
I am a UCSD undergraduate alumni (graduated in 2019) and I have worked as a mobile backend software engineer at ServiceNow for 3 years before I came back for a master’s degree. My focus is mainly in Systems and Software Engineering, and I am most proficient in Java. I am very excited to work with all of you and learn together throughout this course!
